Black Light Tattoos

Black Light Tattoos

One of the hottest, and unusual, forms of body ink are black light tattoos. These tattoos are made up of a ultraviolet reactive ink that glows brightly under black lights. These tattoos are real conversation starters, especially for those who go out clubbing. But over the past few years there has been a few concerns over the safety of these tattoos, something that I intend to address today.

One of the main concerns of these tattoos is that they will cause cancer. While I can see why this would concern the average person, this fear has been proved to be completely unfounded.

Black light tattoos have been tested extensively over the past ten years with no adverse actions. Black light tattoos have also been showed to be completely free of any chemicals that are harmful to the human body.

In fact, black light tattoos have no phosphors, no radio-active elements and does not contain a product called Everglow. Black light tattoo ink has also received approval from the FDA as a spectral marking pigment. The ink in black light tattoos has a florescent dye that doesn’t spread out over time because it is enveloped in micro-capsules. What all this means is that the average person can get a black light tattoo without having to worry about adverse health effects.
