Lots of christian tattoos have an angel in them because of the special beauty it presents. I love this tattoo, it is very detailed and the way the angel is above the clouds is just awesome. I have a lot of friends that have christian tattoos, most of them are born again christians and they love this style of tattoo. Who ever the artist was that drew this amazing tattoo did one heck of a great job at it.

There are some many excellent christian tattoos like this, I know of one guy that has something like this, but his tattoos always include a small picture of a bible somewhere in his christian tattoos. This tattoo seems like it has a red or pink haze used as an outliner around the whole tattoo.

If you think about it, most tattoos from around the world have something of faith involved with their tattoos. Sure there are some that have nothing to do with faith, but I am talking about most really do have something to do with faith one way or another. Matter of fact a lot of your Asian tattoos got their design from using a lot of faith in them. All religions have their own tattoos and they are all beautiful in their own right.

A lot of people believe that modern Christian tattoos come from the counter culture movement of the sixties. Supposedly, as the theory goes, this design was popular among hippies and protesters of the Vietnam war. And I can certainly see why this would be the case. I mean what would mean peace more then, say a picture of Jesus, a crucifix or a praying hands design. But, that is not the case. Christian tattoos actually started even before the middle ages.

People would often get these tattoos as a way to show their faith or to make sure they received a proper religious burial. Some people even got Christian tattoos in hopes that it would prevent them from being tortured if they were ever convicted of being a witch or being in league with the devil. Even though, I have heard that that really didn’t dissuade the executions from performing their duties. But, nonetheless it was a good try. The Christian tattoo in the picture is your run of the mill praying hands motif. You see them everywhere but this person has made his unique by adding the phrase, "Only God Can Judge Me". A sentiment that is pretty self explanatory if you ask me.
