There are so many pretty tattoos, you can’t count them all for as long as you lived. The special dragonfly tattoo is one that I am fond of right off the bat. Dragonflies eat mosquitoes, and that’s a very good thing, and besides that, they look pretty and sleek. A few of the tattoos I am looking at here are a little different than I am use to. Most designs of a dragonfly tattoo are very small in size, they could be much bigger, but what would that do for it.

Since dragonflies are not overly big, why not try designing the dragonfly tattoo so that it looks life like, or life size. I will tell you what, you go get a dragonfly tattoo today, and I bet by the weeks end after showing off in front of all your friends and their friends, you get a good looking chick to hang around with you so they can talk about your dragonfly tattoo. All chicks love those little rascals, they are cute, especially the one’s with the greens and the blues. Those always standout the best when it comes to color coordination. Chicks love the colors red and blue, I don’t know what it is, but I do a lot of my tattoos in those colors, just for that one reason.

Wow this is the ultimate dragonfly tattoo, it looks like it’s flying right off the girls shoulder, talk about a wicked effect. It’s all about being designed using a three dimensional style. This artist is using colors to set the wings and the body far apart to give that three dimensional visual. Purple wings and a sea green body, this is such a fantastic dragonfly tattoo. I can’t get over how real life it looks, it has the shadow below it and the fine details used in the legs are totally mind blowing.

I have seen a dragonfly tattoo pretty close to this, but this one is just better in design and color. This girl has to be thinking to herself, this is the hottest tattoo I have, so I am going to parade this little creature around, every place I go. It kind of reminds you of the dragonfly in the movie named after itself with Kevin Costner. Great movie by the way. I think if I got a dragonfly tattoo like this one, I would have the artist put down a couple small lily pads below it next to the shadow. Man that would look really bad, it would add just a little flair to the dragonfly tattoo, so that I might be able to have more designs added to it later down the road.

Nothing has really changed with dragonfly tattoos over the last one hundred years. They are still beautiful and very feminine to look at, that’s why a lot of women have dragonfly tattoos on the parts of their bodies that they want people to gaze upon. If dragonfly tattoos were changed in anyway to force them not to look beautiful, you would see women protesting non stop around the world, it is their symbol of beauty and softness. The curves of most dragonfly tattoos like this are done with a swift and accurate hand motion, meant to get it right the first time, and not have to be inked over to bring out the clarity of the lines. This tattoo almost reminds me of a musical symbol showing just the right sharps and flats to create something of beauty. Lots of beautiful women adorn their bodies with the beauty of nature, and the dragonfly tattoos are no different. They make the woman more sensous than any other tattoo I have seen on a woman’s body.

Remember back in the late 60′s with all the record covers being designed by the San Francisco hippies. These dragonfly tattoos look identical to some of them used on the covers for the Jefferson Airplane, The Moby Grape and many more. It was way out to add dragonflies to anything you did back in those good old days. I remember hippy chicks getting their dragonfly tattoos, and they would walk around stark raving naked just to show them off. Of course they got arrested a whole lot also, so you can’t be doing a whole lot of that now days.

But you can still get the hottest dragonfly tattoos you have ever seen in San Francisco. The home of the dragonfly tattoos, along with many more specialty tattoos from the early rock years. I remember the Mamas and the Papas had all sorts of dragonfly tattoos on their bodies and their clothing. The rock stars of yesterday had a big thing going on with tons and tons of dragonflies, the loved to see them fly through the air after having a marijuana party in the Oakland Hills. Those were the good old days my friend. Even Jimi Hendrix was a dragonfly lover, he wrote a couple songs just about them and the drugs he took every night.
