It’s easy to tell the evil tattoos out there and this one is right up there on the list. An image of the grim reaper who has come to collect whatever souls are due to him at this moment in time. But of course no one is ever really ready to go with him, are they? As far as evil tattoos go I am not so sure what is so evil about a grim reaper. It seems more like it is just one of those things that has to happen and is not necessarily about evil at all. Certainly it could be an evil thing.

The grim reaper could come after you long before it is your time with the idea of taking you now and causing your death to occur prematurely. Now that would be evil indeed.

I suppose the thing about this tattoo is that it can be evil. And in that light it is easy to see why. This grim reaper could just be a nasty demon who want to take your life and it has nothing at all to do with if it is your time or not. Perhaps he is behind in collecting souls and every now and then he needs to make some up and doesn’t care who he takes to make that happen. Now that kind of meaning would certainly put this in the evil tattoos category.

When people think of evil tattoos a whole variety of different images come to their minds. Tattoos of demons, pentagrams and devils. Some people even say that tattoos that contain creatures of the night such as wolves and bats are inherently evil. But, I say that it’s really up to the bearer of the design to decide whether it’s an evil tattoo or not. Just because one has a tattoo of the devil inked into their skin doesn’t mean that’s it’s a representation of evil.

Because symbols like the devil and the grim reaper have symbolic meanings far greater then what’s usually associated with them. Take this evil tattoo in the picture for instance. The word evil is inked underneath three skeletons. It only takes a moment to realize what this meaning of this tattoo is. It’s an obvious play on the three monkey who see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil. I think that this evil tattoo is a rather funny representation. So, the next time you think about getting inked you should remember that the design you choose is symbolic of what you believe it to be and not what other people think it is.
