Fairy tattoos are common and are becoming extremely popular among the fairer gender. And looking at the fairy tattoo in the picture you can clearly see why. They are beautiful designs that are also very whimsical. But, they go way beyond that. They are also very sexy. And because they can be done in a large number of different styles they will most certainly fit into any persons collection of body ink.

And if you consider all the different elements that you can add to them, well, you then can have a piece that is not only great looking but also be full of a lot of symbolism. I particularly like this fairy tattoo. It’s the classic representation, with the fairy sitting among flowers. You see this a lot, but usually the fairy is depicted as sitting on a lily pad or some other flora. I also like how this fairy is reaching out to touch a butterfly, showing her love and concern for mother nature. But, what I like most about this fairy tattoo is the look on this nymphs face. It’s really a sad look. For me, this tattoo shows that the bearer is concerned over mankind’s destruction of nature. Maybe this person is an activist or conservationist.

This is a great fairy tattoo but one that is a little bit off of the beaten path. Usually when you see a fairy tattoo it depicts a fun loving little sprite with big colorful wings, a big smile and a youthful appearance. These fairy tattoos usually depict the fairy in a woodland setting, either sitting on a mushroom or maybe even a lily pad. But, this one has a much darker feel to it. For one thing the colors are black and white. This is a big departure from the usual fairy tattoo that is full of reds, greens and blues.

This one has a more gothic feel to it, almost ominous. Another thing that strikes me about this fairy tattoo is that the fairy has a very serious look on her face. Okay, serious may not be an accurate description. I think that menacing would be more of a fitting word. In fact, this fairy tattoo is downright scary! I really have to give applause to both the designer of this fairy tattoo and the bearer. They have taken an overused design and made it personal and very unique. We all should keep this design in mind when we get our next tattoo.

When choosing a fairy tattoo it’s wise to decide what type of fairy your looking to have inked in your skin. There are several types of fairy tattoos which include the cute cartoon ones and the fantasy art ones. Cartoon fairy designs are cute and cuddly and can often be seen in cartoons with elf like ears and carrying magic wands. They are depicted as being playful and almost childlike in their demeanor. The fantasy fairy tattoos have adult bodies and are normally female. These fairy tattoos are generally larger in size than the smaller cartoon style tattoo designs.

With curvaceous figures, fantasy fairy tattoos can easily introduce messages of sex appeal by including seductively torn clothing or sometimes the complete absence of clothing, and an abundance of cleavage and plump, luscious lips and hips. They even sometimes are great representations of the 1940 style pinup girl. Fairies are often portrayed to live among nature, therefore fairy tattoos reflect a dream-like world that is both fanciful and perfect. No matter what type of fairy tattoo that you choose, you can be positive that it will convey a sense of magic and wonder to your personal collection of body art.

Fairy tattoos are a design that inspires thoughts of fantasy, magic and wonder to all those who bear witness to it. The presence of magic makes fairies a favorite of children and as a tattoo design they are a potent symbol of our youth. Fairies in literature are often the personification of human wishes and desire in the form of little people with magical powers who grant special wishes to those who deserve them. As a tattoo design they can be symbols of youthful innocence and a desire to retain a child-like imagination, wonder and awe.

It’s a perennial favorite among young females and is even popular among many celebrities. Celebrities who have chosen to adorn their bodies with a fairy tattoo include James King, Alyssa Milano, Britney Spears, Christina Ricci, Racheal Minor and Amber Tamblyn. And it’s easy to see why. Fairy tattoos represent the child within and the realms of possibility. While the fairy tattoo in the picture doesn’t come from the skin of a celebrity it does show the wondrous fantasy style of these designs. And besides, what other design can convey the youthfulness of childhood with a sensual sexuality as fairy tattoos often do. It’s no wonder that these designs become more and more popular each and every year.

Hot little tattoo with the most beautiful fairy in the woods sitting on a little green leaf. Now this is one of the wonderful fairies tattoos you will see a lot of these days. I really love how the fairy wings kind of just float behind her, like they have no weight at all, they just move with the breeze. Just a beautiful gorgeous fairy probably thinking about flying around the wood tossing stardust everywhere she flies. The stories of fairies are many and they all say one thing, fairies are friendly, and they are beautiful.

You come across a fairy in the woods and your dreams will always come true. There is a lot of folklore around fairies, I believe the myths and fables started somewhere in old Europe back in the 8th century, not sure which fable was first, but I know everyone through history has loved and admired the magical fairy. To me fairies tattoos always remind me a little of gypsies, I just wonder if that’s who started the fables of fairies back years and years ago. I have seen some fairies tattoos that looked so calm and peaceful, that when you looked at them, you almost fell asleep from the soothing feeling they put off.

When you see a fairy in the moon, you know your day is going to be great. What’s amazing about fairies tattoos is you can tell a whole story just by the way you design your tattoo. The fairy here is missing her lover, so she goes to the moon so she can look out over the whole earth and find her true love. I might be sentimental, but I think fairies tattoos can make you feel good about yourself and the one’s you love.

I like seeing lots of women getting fairies tattoos, they are trying to keep love alive and if it helps them feel good about themselves, more power to them. I have seen some fairies tattoos that used some odd color combinations that didn’t do them justice.

When it comes to fairies tattoos, you have to make sure the colors are magical in combinations, don’t just use any color that comes to mind, think about what you are trying to say with the tattoo and put it to paper before making the commitment to skin. I saw one girl with fairies tattoos that you could tell the artist did not think enough about the colors and they just didn’t look right. I would always go with pastel colors for all the fairies.
