One of the most exciting girly tattoos, for lack of a better word, is the butterfly. It’s a design that can host a multitude of colors and has a soft fragile design. And another thing that makes this the perfect girly tattoo is it’s popularity. The butterfly is one of the most searched for tattoos on the internet. So, if your looking for the perfect girly tattoo then I offer you the butterfly for your consideration. Here are a few tips to help you choose a design that you will love a lifetime. Even though these tattoos often get all lumped together under one banner there really are many different styles and forms of the butterfly tattoo.

If you are considering getting one then it makes sense to take some time and explore the different styles available and discover what you like best. The first style is called a Celtic style butterfly. Celtic styles always feature Celtic knot work. These are always a series of endless knots that weave over top and under each other to make a delicate and intricate net work forming a butterfly. Often these are done in black and white but sometimes they include some color. Along those same lines you can also choose a tribal design, which is also usually done in black and white. But, if you don’t like any of these choices then you can always go with the realistic design in the picture. After all, it’s probably the essence of a great girly tattoo.

Girly tattoos are generally a loose term to describe designs that carry a feminine connotation or are placed in a location that are associated with females. The girly tattoo in the picture is a perfect example. Flowers have always been associated with women and that has been true for thousands of years. The butterfly element is another symbol that is commonly attributed to members of the fairer sex. The artist has furthered the girl tattoo motif by using the color purple.

There is probably no other color that is more feminine then purple. The final note to be made on this girly tattoo is it’s location. Right on the front of the body between the hip and pelvic bone is an ideal location for a women to get a tattoo. Other prime locations for this type of tattoo might be the lower leg, on the lower back as a "tramp stamp” or on the back of the shoulder. While there is currently a debate raging over whether or not their are any specific designs that can be called girly tattoos, this one clearly comes close. If this isn’t one that I don’t know what would be one.

How can you get a cute girl tattoo to add to your personal collection of body art? Well, if you want to get a girl tattoo like the one pictured here then you are going to have to buckle down and follow a few simple steps. To get cute girl tattoos the focus first needs to be on location. Girl tattoos should look nice but not stand out. For example, a giant tattoo covering your chest would not be considered a girl tattoo, however, it does stand out. The next thing to think about when you get a girl tattoo is style. Consider personality. A girl tattoo needs to either match or compliment your personality.

How you dress, or do your makeup should be taken into consideration. I mean a girl tattoo for a Goth chick wouldn’t be the same as a girl tattoo for a cheerleader now would it? While looking for cute girl tattoos you need to be thinking about the big picture. Consider what the reasons are that you’re getting a tattoo. If it’s to impress others then that’s not a very good reason. Have you really gave a lot of thought about why you wanted to get a particular design? Keep in mind it will be on your body for all eternity. If you have followed these steps then you are on your way to your next cute girl tattoo. Good luck.
