Does everybody like grim reaper tattoos, or is it just me? They always jump right out at me and I have to take a closer look. I suppose that would happen to anybody who has always been fascinated by death and dying like I have. Or should I say, obsessed with it. Most people, I think, try to put off thinking about death until they get older but no mater what you do we all have to face it sooner or later. After all, as we all know, the day we begin living is also the day we begin dying. Wow, that’s deep.

Like many grim reaper tattoos this drawing is very much to the point. It shows this creature standing there with its classic weapon and pointing its finger right at us, as if to say, you’re next. And we know that is what it means. There can be no doubt about that. We all have one visit coming from the grim reaper but none of us really wants to meet him. But getting one of these grim reaper tattoos has nothing to do with any of that crap. It’s just a matter of whether or not you think it would look cool on you or not.
In this picture we have twenty examples of what could be grim reaper tattoos. And there are several interesting ones of them here. A grim reaper on a motorcycle. A grim reaper with a guitar. A grim reaper with a rose. A grim reaper wearing a suit of some kind. And even a grim reaper with a label on it that says ‘Dad’. Now, I find that a bit strange. If it just stands for the persons father being dead then I can understand but that doesn’t seem to be the normal meaning of a grim reaper.
I always thought the grim reaper symbolized death on the way. As if death was coming to gather you up and take you away to the under world. And if that is the case, then it is weird to have the word Dad with a grim reaper.
I like grim reaper tattoos for the most part because I like spooky types of tattoos, but most of the grim reaper tattoos on this image are almost cartoon like and that is what I do not like about them. There are some nice ones here, they are just not in tune with my taste. Maybe they are with yours. |
