Hindu Tattoos

Hindu tattoos don’t concern themselves with just one god like many other religions do. No, Hindu tattoos can choose from a myriad of different gods and different symbols. And since these gods and symbols can be depicted in a seemingly endless fashion, then those who love Hindu tattoos usually have an advantage over those who love other forms of religious tattoos.

Some of the gods that are represented by Hindu tattoos include Lakshmi, Brahma, Varuna, Vishnu, Krishna, Radha, Hanuman, Kali, Shiva and Ganesha.

The god that a person chooses to ink usually depends on which one he most closely identifies with or which one he likes the best. My personal favorite is the god Hanuman. This god is depicted in Hindu tattoo designs as a man with a monkey face and usually shown ripping up his own heart. It is a very cool design.

A Hindu tattoo that is very popular is one that depicts Ganesha. Ganesha is a god that is often pictured with an elephant head and a long, pronounced snout. He is often shown with many hands that hold a variety of objects from mushrooms to flowers. This design looks the best when it is inked in brilliant shades of red, blue and gold.
