Now we’re going to talk about lip tattoos. What? Are you crazy? Get that needle away from the inside of my lip sucker! You heard me. No! No! No! I would think something like that would have to be your first reaction because it certainly was mine. I personally cannot imagine what it must feel like to get a tattoo like this one on the inside of my lips. That must stay very, very sore for many days after it is done. Whew! But in the end you have to think, well to each his own.

If that’s what this guy wants to do then that’s what he wants to do. So let him do it, right?

Yes, I can understand people wanting to get lip tattoos, but I don’t get the words ‘no warning’ being tattooed to the inside of his lips. I have been thinking about that for hours now and I cannot figure that one out. I think probably this guy got these lip tattoos when he was very drunk and someone dared him to do it, but I can’t figure out the ‘no warning’ words for the life of me.

You know a lip tattoo is a very hard tattoo to maintain. For one thing it’s more likely to get infected. That’s because people have to eat, so food particles are constantly in the wound. And another thing that makes it easier to get infected is that the human mouth is full of bacteria. Another thing that makes lip tattoos harder to maintain is the moistness of the mouth. The constant saliva often means that the person has to go back to the tattoo parlor repeatedly to have the designs re-inked and touched up.

So, taking all these factors into account I only have one question. Why would anyone get a lip tattoo that’s as offensive as the one in the picture? I mean it has no sentimental or symbolic meaning. Well, you could say because it’s cool but then I would have to ask another question. Who is going to see it? Only people whom the person chooses to show it to. So, I think that it kind of takes away the rebellious nature of this tattoo. But, people get tattoos for a lot of reasons and only this person knows for sure why they got it. The only thing I have to say to that "is to each his own."
