Male Tattoos
I have been asked the same question for many years now. What makes for a great male tattoos? This is a question that is hard to answer because their are a variety of different designs that were once considered to be solely male tattoos, but have now made their way onto the skin of many ladies. This makes it almost impossible to characterized any single tattoo as a “male tattoo design” but I will give it a shot anyway. I think male tattoos are designs that embody the very nature of a guy. When you think of guys what usually comes to mind? Strength, virility and protection are what come first to my mind.
So I think male tattoos are designs that enhance or exaggerate these characteristics. Let me tell you about a few designs that I think are classic male tattoos. I think that an image of a snarling wolf is the quintessential male tattoo. Think about it. Males and wolves have a lot in common. We are both fiercely territorial and for the most part, guys are loyal to their packs. This makes it the perfect male tattoo design. Another male tattoo is the symbol of Mars. We have all seen this symbol, it features a circle with an arrow sticking out of it. This is the ultimate symbol of masculinity and is one that can’t so easily be taken over by women. At least not yet. |
