The mermaid tattoo has become a staple of the art of the tattoo world. It can combine many different elements and styles to make a design that is specifically unique to the bearer. Let’s go over a few of the elements that can be combined with a mermaid tattoo to increase it’s special attributes. Mermaid tattoos can be done with intricate knotted forms derived from the Celts, called shield knots. The artist can also choose to make the mermaid tattoo according to the pin-up style.

This is representative of the calendar girls that graced many garages and locker rooms across America during World War II. Another popular way to represent the mermaid tattoo is by giving it a more cartoon like appearance. And that way, you could also add other elements such as birds or butterflies. The mermaid tattoo in the picture is more representative of the fantasy style. This bearer could easily add other fantasy elements to this tattoo such as dragons or unicorns to make the style even more unique. As with any tattoo you should properly plan your mermaid tattoo. Remember, you will have it for a very long time. You should research what type of tattoo you want and look at as many designs as possible.

Here are some eighteen views of different mermaid tattoos. And these are not just drawings of them, these are images of real finished tattoos. Many, many cultures around the world have mermaid mythology in their history. In most cases sailors believed they were somewhat evil beings who would use their charms and songs to lure the men into crashing their boats on nearby rocks and the like. But in the Greek culture they were more of a symbol of the gods and of love.

Their long flowing hair, which they almost always have, is meant to stand for an abundance of love they have to share with others.

I have always like mermaid tattoos and I guess part of that is the fantasy of the whole mermaid thing. I think every guy who saw the movie splash fell in love with Daryl Hannah as the gorgeous blonde mermaid and had some secret wish to somehow meet one just like her. It’s just a natural thing to feel that way, there’s nothing kinky about it. At least not in my way of thinking. But it does make me partial to mermaid tattoos.

Is there anybody out there who does not like mermaid tattoos? I mean you can not like them for yourself but still think one looks good on someone else, right? I would think that everybody likes them to one extent to another. I, personally like them very, very much. And this mermaid tattoo is a pretty good one, but not really the best. It is well done but just a little mis-colored in my humble opinion.

I think that mermaid tattoos should always be colored in a way that the mermaid was a real creature and this would give it much more credibility as a piece of art over all. I think this one looks a little too comic strip like and not very realistic at all.

But don’t get me wrong, I still like this mermaid tattoo. And if it were mine I would not be all that unhappy about it. I just think it could be better as far as mermaid tattoos go. I have always liked the fantasy of a beautiful woman, even if she is half fish, coming up out of the water to seduce man. It just seems like a very cool thing.

Mermaids are beings who lure sailors to their deaths by flirting with them, and then dragging them into the sea. Mermaids often represent the strength of women. This tattoo uses several different colors including red, yellow, pink, green, brown, and gold. The tip of the tail is bright pink with a hint of white. The ridges in the tail are well defined. The tail itself is a bright green with hints of gold and yellow to add shine. Each of the scales are well defined and noticeable.

The anchor in the background is a blood red with yellow stripes and help pronounce the outline of the mermaid. The Mermaids hair is brown and has a pink and blue shell in it. The rope in the background is yellow tinted and in the shape of a heart and flows around the anchor. This tattoo has amazing detail, from the tip of the tail, to the golden belly button ring, all the way to the shell in her hair, and has a very interesting fictional being that has an amazing history behind it. The colors compliment each other so that the whole piece looks amazing and realistic. This is what I call a good tattoo.
