Movie Tattoos
When someone mentions that they are getting a movie tattoo design, then it immediately conjures up images of the tattoos that are on the bodies of some of my favorite characters. For example, the great tribal tattoos on George Clooney in “Dusk to Dawn”. That was a tattoo design that will always stick in my mind, probably because it was so large and elaborate. But the term movie tattoo can mean other things as well. It can mean that a person is getting their favorite actor or actress tattooed on their bodies. I have seen my share of these as well.
These included such stars as Marilyn Monroe, Sylvester Stallone, Kevin Bacon, Vivica Fox, Megan Fox and Samuel L. Jackson. Movie tattoos can also imply that a person is going to get his favorite scene from a movie inked into his skin. Movie tattoos that are composed of individual scenes can capture a mood or feeling better than any other symbol. Take the scene where Dorothy is skipping down the yellow brick road in the “Wizard of Oz”, or the scene that features the priest looking up at the possessed child’s window in “The Exorcist”. These make for incredibly detailed tattoos that are really fun to have inked. |
Movies Tattoos
Movie tattoos are some of the most interesting designs that I have ever seen. Movies tattoos are usually not only very artfully done but they also speak of the connection that most people have with the big screen. Almost everybody can remember what was going on in their lives when a particular movie came out or how that movie had a big impact on their lives. Today, we are going to be talking about some of the movies tattoo designs I have seen over the last few years. I met this guy in a diner and noticed that he had a very odd tattoo on his arm. So I introduced myself and asked him to raise his sleeve slightly to get a better look at it. When he did, I was blown away.
It was a scene from the movie “The Karate Kid” and it was done in the most beautiful shading I have ever seen. Can you guess what scene it was? It was the scene where the guy was performing the “crane technique”, you know the one with one leg raised. I thought it was pretty cool. Another movie tattoo that I really liked was designed after the movie “Independence Day.” It featured an alien vessel hovering over the White House and releasing a death ray beam into the top of it. What really impressed me about this movies tattoo design was the level of detail. It even had a little bits of shrapnel and wood flying off of it. These two designs are something to consider when getting your next design. |
