A lot of people when they get a music tattoo, will get one that contains musical bars and notes. Just like the women in the picture decided on. These can be beautiful and delicate tattoos, especially when it’s inked with a lot of splashy color. But, that isn’t your only options available to you. You could also get your favorite instrument such as the guitar, violin or even a cool drum kit. You can also get a music tattoo that features your favorite band’s name or logo, though I would caution you to be careful when getting one of these.

You never know what’s going to happen to the band a few years down the road, so make sure it’s something that you can live with for the rest of your life. Instead, let me offer you another choice to immortalize your favorite band. Why not get the lyrics of your favorite song. Words are timeless and the poignant verses of your favorite song can be something that retains it’s meaning even after the band has broke up, sold out or been sent to rehab. But, no matter which route you decide to go, a music tattoo can be rich in personal meaning and show that your a true lover of music.

Music note tattoos can be a wonderful addition to any personal collection of body art. Whether you’re a musician or simply a lover of music, it’s a tattoo that can fit in with just about any style or motif. Music note tattoos can be placed just about anywhere on the body. They can be used as armband tattoos, as chest pieces or as center pieces on your back. They can even be placed on the side or nape of the neck like the woman in the photograph. She has foregone the usual clef and bar design and have just included a random collection of notes.

She has also coupled it with a heart design and has added plenty of color to give the tattoo that very special "popping" effect. As you can see, a music note tattoo can be as subtle or as stunning as you wish to make it. And you can also couple the music note tattoo with other style elements. Try including it with your favorite animal or your favorite instrument. It can really be an impressive design when mixed with your favorite poem or prayer, as well. And if your looking for something a little out of the ordinary try mixing it with Sanskrit. See, your options with this design are limitless.

The music tattoos available to us are many and quite varied. This one, for instance is somewhat unique in that it is a small boom box with the music flowing out of it. And it happens to be on someone’s right hip and sitting just above the label of their jeans that apparently came from Los Angeles, California. I think it is fair to say that this music tattoo might be a little bit easier to read then a lot of them are. It seems apparent that this one represents a happy type of music that someone is listening to while they are out and about.

It could be top-40, rap, hip-hop or anything like that but my guess would be that it is meant to be contemporary.

Through out the ages of mankind on earth, there have always been some sort of music tattoos out there. And that is simply because man has almost always had music. No one has ever quite figured out why music moves us so much. But it does and somehow or another it seems to have an almost divine meaning to our spirit as humans. And so when somebody gets music tattoos put on themselves they rarely do so lightly. Sure, it happens but most of the time it really means something to the person getting the tat.

If you are a fan of music then you might be really impressed by the music tattoo in the picture. It’s a perfect blending of form and style. It has the bars and musical notes combined with a lot of well shaded stars. And I also really like the placement of the music tattoo, though it does seem to me that it would be quite painful to get such an intricate design inked over your ribs. In my opinion there are better places to put this design. I for one would have it wrapped around my leg or arm.

Or maybe use this music tattoo as the main component of a kick ass back tattoo. There’s not a whole lot that I would do with the actual design itself, because I think it’s really good. But, the addition of a musical instrument might add even more pizazz to it. Now I said that you would most likely like this music tattoo if your were a fan of music. But, that’s not necessarily true. I could see getting something like this even if music is not a passion in your life. Maybe you just like the design or the bold colors

Music Note tattoos are easily identifiable by almost anyone. They are made up of clef notes and bars and can be done in black & white or in brilliant color. The clef note is a French word meaning "key note" and it’s usually the first symbol we see on a sheet of music. It is superimposed over the five lines of the staff, and its purpose is to indicate the pitch of the written notes. The familiar ‘treble clef’ looks like a grandiose ‘S’, but its critical component is the curl. The line on the staff that passes through that curl is identified as G, which is why it’s also called the G clef.

In earlier times, it was known as the ‘violin clef’, because it marked the treble. But, enough with the mechanics of music. What people really want to know is the symbolism behind the inking of a music note tattoo. Well, it depends on the person, as really there is no clear meaning behind the music note tattoo. A person might work as a musician or simply has a love for music. Either way, the music note tattoo is a beautiful design especially when it’s combined with musical instruments such as the violin, trumpet, piano or harp. And when mixed in with other design motifs can create a body art style that is genuinely unique.

This girl has a rather large music tattoo on what appears to be her hip, but it is a little difficult to tell what part of the body we are seeing here. It is a nice looking tattoo though. One that combines many musical symbols and blends them all together quite masterfully. They say that the type of music tattoo a person gets is a direct reflection on the type of music that person happens to like. I would have to describe this tattoo as big and bold and maybe even happy too.

So, would that be classical music perhaps that this person likes? Maybe and maybe not.

Perhaps this music tattoo is actually a certain chord that can be played on some sort of instrument. Wouldn’t that be clever? I would find that very, very interesting indeed and I would love to hear that chord as well. Or maybe it’s simpler that and she just like to make music with her body. Or maybe she’s a stripper and thought this music tattoo would look cool on her body while she is dancing at work. No one can really tell by looking at a photograph. All we can do is guess.
