This is possibly the most intricate tattoo I have ever seen. There are so many colors in it including blue, pink, yellow, orange, purple, red, green, and gold. The bottom half of the portrait is a set of blue boxes bordered by gold flames and yellow tinted eyes. The middle of the portrait is a set of pink boxes also boarded by gold. The top half is the face of a man, tinted orange, with his features boarded by gold.

The gold outlines cover the entire face and upper body of the man, and it leads up into his head, which seems to explode into the backdrop. Every inch of this tattoo is a piece of artwork, intricate and colored perfectly. On the forehead of the man, a sun burns brightly. Eyes cover every inch of the background. This tattoo is amazingly beautiful, and must have taken days to finish. Its a beautiful idea and a beautiful design. This also shows what a good artist, a lot of free time, and a lot of cash can do for you. This is maybe the most beautiful tattoo I have ever seen.

Shoulder tattoos can be a discrete and versatile choice when deciding to get inked. The shoulder is the ideal location because it can be shown off or covered at the discretion of the bearer. And because of the shape and size of the upper shoulder it’s often a perfect location for a great variety of different designs. When most people choose to get a shoulder tattoo, it’s usually of an animals head or some kind of symbol. But, as you can see from the design in the picture, a shoulder tattoo can be anything that the bearer wants it to be.

This tattoo is a hybrid of many different tattoo motifs and mythologies. The main part of the design, the all seeing eye, was prevalent in many Hindu and Masonic religions. But, the braid work around the piece is definitely of the Celtic knot variety. And the artist rounded out the whole design by placing it on a tribal tattoo field. I think the whole design comes together well in a very coherent fashion. So, the next tie your considering getting a shoulder tattoo, then put a little thought and imagination into it. You might be surprised with what you come up with.

This is a pretty typical shoulder tattoo of the tribal variety and exactly what one would expect to see if talking about this type of shoulder tattoo. The hard edged lines and the inter-connected hooks and curves are almost always part of these tribal shoulder tattoos. There really is nothing about this tribal shoulder tattoo that separates it form thousands of others. At least not to the untrained eye. There are, no doubt many things about this tattoo that would tell a person with a trained eye all sorts of things.

Like there this warrior came from, there his village was located and what his fighting specialty was.

These sort of things were built into these tribal tattoos as a way for the tribes themselves to keep track of what they had and when they had it. Yes it actually was their war inventory system. The only one they really had. They would put certain tattoos on certain soldiers and people and then put marks on a piece of bark that coincided with those tattoos and they would use these things to keep track of the people from both their villages and their armies. In a way, it was a way of doing a census.

Let’s take a moment to talk about shoulder tattoos and what they actually are. Some people consider the shoulder to be part of the arm, the rounded portion just above the upper arm. For some, these tattoos would more properly be called arm tattoos. Others see the shoulder as part of the back. The shoulder is actually the spot on the human body where the arm attaches to the torso. There are three bones that make up the shoulder (the clavicle, scapula, and humerus) as well as the shoulder joint and various muscles and ligaments.

The area that most people are talking about when they are describing shoulder tattoos is the flat area on the upper back just over the scapula, commonly known as the shoulder blade. Now, previously I had thought that tattoos in this area of the body were back tattoos but it seems that I, like most people, was mistaken. The tattoo in the picture is actually a combination between a shoulder tattoo and an arm tattoo. Now that you know the actual terminology associated you can go out and tell your artist that you want an arm or shoulder tattoo and he will know exactly what your talking about.
