Spiritual Tattoos
Spiritual tattoos have became very popular over the past few decades. They are seen on a variety of people who represent a variety of different religious beliefs. A recent study has shown that over forty percent of the tattoos being requested in studios are spiritual tattoos. These spiritual tattoos include depictions of Jesus Christ, Buddha, Christian Crosses and Stars of David. Many people who get ink for the first time tend to have a spiritual tattoo design of some sort inked. As popular as spiritual tattoos are, they are also very controversial. That is because many religions believe that getting tattooed is a sin and is a defacement of the human body.
These religions argue that the human body is a temple that is dedicated to God and should be marked up with body art. Of course, there are a large number of people who disagree with this idea and say that getting a spiritual tattoo is an expression of the faith and devotion to their God. One thing is for sure, however. No matter which side of the fence you lean towards on this subject, spiritual tattoos can be beautiful works of art. Whether they are a sin or not is dependent on what the user believes and shouldn’t be based on the narrow views of a small group of people.
