It is always interesting to me to watch how these tattoo artists can sit and produce these tattoo sketches so quickly and with relevant ease. Even though both of my parents were professional artists, I do not have that talent and I have always been amazed by people who do. Just try to come up with some tattoo sketches yourself and see how hard it really is. With tattoo artists, just like it is with any kind of art, the good ones rise to the top very quickly.

Unless you are just blind, it is not hard to tell how good a particular artist is.

People use tattoo sketches like this one to size out a tattoo on a persons body and to trace the new art for the tattoo on a persons body before the actual inking gets started. Of course if there is no other sample of a particular tattoo then sketches are also used just to give a person an idea of what a tattoo will look like before it is put onto their skin. This is a tattoo sketch of what appears to be two dragons, both after each others tail. It is nothing more, or less than a classic symbol of the continuous cycle of life.

These tattoo sketches are of some tattoos that people probably got. They look like the type that were done to be traced onto the skin just before the actual inking begins. They even have their area of placement written down by them. Most of these have dates on them as well. Most likely these are birth dates. And when the two dates are really far apart from one another it is probably because one is the tattoo owners birthday the second is probably the birthday of one of their children.

This is easy to guess because it is an extremely common thing that people do with their tattoos.

It’s always a good idea to have tattoo sketches done in advance of the tattoo itself. It not only helps the artist but it shows the person what kind of artistic talent the tattoo artist really has before they start putting the needles to you. Obviously the last thing anybody wants is to get a tattoo from some untalented artist, and they are out there, so be careful. Get your tattoo sketches done and everything else until you are one hundred percent satisfied that your artist is the right one.
