Here we have a sheet that gives us a good look at seven different tribal tattoo designs. They are all traditional, sharp and are nice looking designs. But none of them really fit what I would be looking for if I wanted to get a tribal style of tattoo. I would want something that is more oblong in shape and can be put down the length of an arm or leg rather than the ones in this picture. That’s just a personal thing. And when it comes to tattoos of any kind we all are going to like something differently at one time or another.

Not all the time, but certainly some of the time.

If you are seriously considering a tribal tattoo then you need to study all of the tribal tattoo designs that you can find. You can probably find books online that will show you untold thousands of them so that is really the best place to start. And if you find what you like you can simply print it out and carry it in to your local tattoo parlor. If you do not find what you want online then it’s time to hit the street and go out and check the books they have in the tattoo parlors themselves. They’ve all got books of some kind, so use them.

Wow, now these are some pretty wild tribal tattoo designs here. Like man tribal tattoos they have a way of being very intricate and very simplistic all at the same time. And maybe that’s why these type of tattoos always catch my eye. I cannot be sure, but they always do and I always check them out whether they be on guys or girls. I am a big fan of tribal tattoo designs and I wish I could do artwork like this but there’s no chance.

I can talk the ears off of a wooden Indian but I cannot draw a straight line if I had to. To each his own I guess.

These type of tribal tattoo designs look like they are primarily the tramp stamp type of tattoo. The ones meant to be placed on the lower back of girls. And it’s always nice to see a girl with a tattoo on the lowest part of her back like that. It doesn’t mean she’s a dirty girl or anything like that. At best, it might mean she’s just a bit adventurous because she had the courage to get the tattoo in the first place and then show it off too.

Tribal tattoo designs are some of the most popular tattoos that are gotten these days. In fact, these tattoos account for nearly half of the request that are made to tattoo artists. Tribal tattoos have become so popular, that you would be hard pressed to go through your day without running into one. Unfortunately, most of the tribal tattoos that are done these days lack a great deal of originality. It is sad, but true and doesn’t have to be the case. Tribal tattoos can take a variety of different styles that express the individuality and personality of the bearer.

One thing that a person can do to make their tribal tattoo unique is to have the artists do in an unusual style.

Traditional symbols such as dragons, hearts, stars and flowers can be made out of tribal elements and they give an impression that really pops. Another thing that a person can do with a tribal tattoo design is to use a variety of different colors. There is no rule that says that one of these tattoos have to be done in black or gray. No, they can be done in any color of the rainbow and this usually presents a design to the observer that appears fresh and original.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with going with a more traditional design. Many cultures all over the world have unique tribal tattoos that can be easily incorporated into your personal body canvas. All it takes is a little imagination and a willingness to think outside of the box.

There is one important thing to remember when getting a tribal tattoo. These designs are not for everyone. I know that it may come as a shock to you that I would say something like this but I’m afraid that it’s the truth. Tribal tattoos are something you need to place a lot of thought into. And I mean before the inked needle pierces your skin. A lot of the tribal tattoos that are available were first originated by Polynesian and Hawaiian warriors. And yes, they do symbolize masculinity, power, and force.

I think these types of tattoos best fit a man but hey, whom am I to judge? If you are interested in getting a Tribal tattoo, one thing I would suggest would be to check out the history of these tattoos. And the first part of this step includes finding out about the various tribal tattoo designs. Yes, there are more then one! Tattooing was shared among Polynesian individuals and among distinct tribal groups in the Philippines, Borneo, Mentawai Islands, Africa, North America, South America, Europe, Japan, Cambodia and New Zealand. Once you choose a culture you can then work down into the various design elements. It’s a big job so give yourself plenty of time to complete the task. And good luck on your tribal tattoo quest.

As far as tattoos tribal designs go, this one is fairly impressive. I like how it starts at the back of this persons neck, travels down around the shoulder blades and comes down into a pretty big chest piece. The tattoos tribal design here is nice and thick, as tribal designs should be, and the shading is very well done. Looking at this tattoo tribal design I see no missing points of ink whatsoever. Now, a lot of people have asked me how long a design like this would take to finish.

I couldn’t give you any clear cut answer because it depends on a number of factors. It depends on how fast the artist is, and how long this person could go before needing to take a break. This tattoo could have been done in one sitting but I imagine that it was probably done over the course of several sessions. The one thing I am curious about this design is the work done around the nipples. It must have been quite a painful process because it looks like the ink was applied directly to the nipples and that’s quite a sensitive part of the body!

Here is another fine tattoos tribal design. This guy has decided to get it inked on his forearm. I’m not sure why this particular guy got this tattoos tribal design but I’m sure that he had a good reason. Maybe it’s the reason that I’m going to talk about here. You see back in days of old, people would get tattoos tribal designs for a multitude of reasons. Some people got them as identifying marks and some got them to show that they were old enough to marry and buy property.

But, people also got tattoos tribal designs for magical reasons. See, wizards and medicine man would often mix in special elixirs with the ink. Then the tattoos were applied as charms for various purposes. For example, a guy might get a tribal tattoo that was supposed to ward off demons or further his luck and good fortune. Or a guy might get a tribal tattoo that enhanced his sexual prowess and made him more attractive to the ladies. And that’s probably the reason this guy got this design! If it worked I would run out and get one of my own!! That would be a great reason to get a tattoo.

Here is a pretty big traditional tribal tattoo that reaches from the upper shoulder down to the elbow of this persons right arm. If I am correct, tribal tattoos such as this originated with tribes that used them to mark their warriors so people would know who they belonged with and where they were from. And certain types of these tribal tattoos were reserved for the fiercest warriors among them but I am not sure at all which ones these were. You would have to consult an expert on tattoos to find that out.

But that might be well worth doing.

You may have noticed that a lot of the really big fighters, in the mixed martial arts competitions that play on television several times a week now days, have a lot of these tribal tattoos on their bodies. No doubt the ones they wear are the same ones that were once worn by the real tribal warriors, so maybe that is a way of finding the tribal tattoos that are right for you. But I am sure that an experienced tattoo artist would probably be able to give you this information.

This is a tattoo tribal design that I think has been done very well. The strokes of the lines are broad and the design is very symmetrical. This tattoo tribal design covers his entire shoulder and winds itself down to the tip of his elbow. Technically this is a well executed and planned tattoo tribal design. But, it’s creativity and style is another matter altogether. Designs like this look too much like each other. I must have seen a million of these designs and none of them do anything to distinguish them from the rest.

I think this could have been a great design if additional elements were added to it. Almost anything would have kicked this design a few notches up the pole. This guy could have added a Hawaiian element to it. He could have added a Native American totem element to it. He could have added some kind of animal like a dragon or wolf to the design. Something to make it different from all the other tattoo tribal designs out there. Where is the creativity people? I’ll tell you where it’s not. It’s not in this guys tattoo design and that’s for sure!!
