Zombie Tattoos
Zombie tattoo designs are scary enough to send a chill up most people’s spines. These tattoos feature undead creatures who rise from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living. Zombie tattoos often show the undead creature ambling through a deserted graveyard or sometimes the streets of your hometown. Sometimes these designs only depict the face of the zombie complete with rotting flesh and blood drenched teeth. Zombie tattoos can be designed in a number of ways which range from the cartoonish to the realistic.
The cartoon zombies are usually displayed in a very kitsch style that is very tongue in cheek. Realistic depictions of the zombie can approach the quality of a photograph and usually look very much like a real person with rotting features. Some of my favorite zombie tattoos feature scenes that are taken from George Romero’s “Living Dead” series. These type of tattoos generally show the zombies trying to push their way into a farmhouse, roaming the street in a mindless horde or walking around an abandoned military installation. These zombie tattoos are not only very cool but do a great job of paying homage to a classic horror genre that has become very popular. |
